Sertech is born in the Øresund IT area where Southern Sweden’s and Denmark’s high-tech clusters meet. The region’s 12 universities attracts talents from all over the world and the research is top level in several fields. Some of these technology fields are core to Serstech’s abilities to deliver great customer solutions.

Nano-technology/optics

Nanotechnology and related fields contain several technologies used by Serstech. One example is manufacturing processes such as lithographic techniques and injection molding. Design of SERS surfaces which are employing different kinds of substrates such as Black Silicon also include nanopatterning of both substrate and active (enhancing) metal nanostructures. Access to such leading research and manufacturing facilities brings innovations across the board of many areas.

Electronics

The skills from the region’s leading firms in electronics are being used to enable small and cost-effective solutions that scale very well. Inspiration is found both in hearing aids and the mobile phone industries, since our region produces about 1/3 of the world’s hearing aids and is home to some 10,000 people working only in mobile phone related development.

Chemometrics/Mathematics/Computer science

Advanced algorithms for signal processing, pattern recognition, and multivariate analysis are key to some of the applications that Serstech is serving.
